WELCOME TO
THE ART IN MY MIND
MEET THE ARTIST
Paint searching for paper (and canvas).
I am an acrylic and mixed media artist living in Perdido Key, Florida with my husband and one little papillon, Ziggy.
Through the ups and downs of life I have found constancy in art. Over the course of time I have, developed a system to deal with my art fears and frustrations. This system allows me to create art that has meaning to me, art that moves me. And, hopefully will move you also.
Whether small or large, I try to bring movement to my pieces through color combinations and the use of various surfaces. All of my paintings are finished with UVLS varnish to protect the colors for many years and to ensure durability and protection against the environment.

MY MISSION
The Art in my Mind is a well respected and thriving home studio in Perdido Key, Florida. We’ve got a history of commitment toward our style and technique. We strive for creativity, form and function in all art produced at The Art in my Mind.

ARTIST'S STATEMENT
"HER” IS A COMMON THEME IN MY ARTWORK.
“Her” initially, and most importantly to me, speaks of her who is outside of myself. My brave mother who sacrificed her needs for her children, my sisters who have loved me through the ups and downs of life, the dearest of girlfriends who have healed my heart and soul with just a thought of me. “Her” embodies all of the women who help you feel happy and alive and always accepted. Not just those that give, but those that you give back to, as much or more as you receive.
But it also speaks of “her”, the third person self. Or the her that others see and experience of you. When self reflecting, seeing her in true light and not overlooking the flaws, the strengths, the perfections, the regrets, and the things that bring joy. My her is headstrong and stubborn, or so she has been told. But, is she really? I may be the only one who knows that truth. Or, maybe I don’t. But I know this, if you can see her, I probably love you.
To your success,
H. Diane Stroupe
